On 26 October, the French police killed Rémi Fraisse, 21. He was shot in the back with a grenade as he protested against the construction of a dam.
This follows two months of police violence against the thousands of protesters against the dam at Sivens. The dam will destroy the biodiversity of the area and benefit very few.
We will gather to show our solidarity with the family and friends of Rémi Fraisse.

Great event of international solidarity !
Still a brief comment as the article mentions Mr Fraisse was “shot in the back with a grenade”.
The investigation that the grenade was thrown, not shot.
And if indeed he got injured in the back, the “gendarmes mobiles” were facing the group of which Mr Fraisse was taking part.
So the phrase “shot in the back” might be replaced by :
“touched in the back by a grenade causing his death”
… or something along those line.
Again thanks for relaying this event and spreading the information - Congratutlations for that !
Best,
