The nine defendants who were found guilty in Trial B (see the article below for the backstory) are back in court this week to appeal their verdict.
They’re in Southwark Crown Court, where the trial will be run all over again but in front of a more senior judge and two lay magistrates. Today, the prosecution kicked off their case (yet again) with CCTV “best of” compilations of each appellant, plus the first two police witnesses. The lawyers reckon the appeal will last 6 or 7 days, so don’t expect a result until next week.
