Congratulations and solidarity to Simon and Ashok, who won £20,000 in court yesterday after proving that the Metropolitan Police had lied and produced inconsistent accounts of their arrests.

What the article fails to mention is that Ashok and Simon were prepared to accept less money as compensation, if the Met would also be prepared to make a public apology. The Met refused, which perhaps says something about their commitment to justice…
